I have previously done the Tobago Cays tour etc. but this time would like to spend time on Carriacou, Petite Martinique, Union and Canouan. So I’m flying into Grenada and will likely take SVG Air to Carriacou. Then head out to the other islands the next day. Are the water taxis between the islands reasonably priced? I looked at the ferry skeds between these islands and they are quite inconvenient. This resort came highly recommended by friends with children, however; they haven’t been to the resort in 4 years. I have read in online forums people saying the rooms are outdated and small, the food at the restaurants is bad, they’ve gotten bed bugs, the security on the beach is low and all around it was a waste of money. My husband and I are used to staying in 5 star boutique hotels but with 3 kids, we were exploring our options. Has anyone been there recently with an opinion? Thanks so much!
When you leave a malaria-affected country, donate your mosquito net to a local church or other helping organization or other religious institution, they can distribute it to a family who could use it. A simple action like that could save a life. Malaria is still killing people and poverty is partly to blame. The use of these bednets has helped reduce the number of people getting malaria (and other serious diseases).
Make sure the representative of the organization you give it to is aware of the issues like making sure there are no holes in the net, the need to tuck it in properly when it is being used, to not let it rest on the skin (because mosquitoes can bite through), how to hang it properly, how long the insecticide of your bednet lasts (the insecticide makes them more effective) (bednets can be retreated), how often it can be washed without removing the insecticide, ensuring none of the parts present a choking hazard to children. This is not an exhaustive list of issues.

I’ve tried for several days to rent a jeep or golf cart directly through the four or five jeep rental locations on Vieques Island without success. Now I’ve “discovered” that I can also go through travelocity or priceline for a compact car rental at a much lower price. Can someone tell me about their experience in this regard? I’ve been under the impression that the jeep rentals ON the island were the only game in town. Can anyone recommend a great beach in Antigua to visit for the day? I will be on a cruise and don’t want to do a shore excursion. Also, are taxis available to drop off/pick up for return to cruise port? Thank you for any advice!Original: https://www.fodors.com/community/caribbean-islands/taxis-in-st-johns-antigua-and-advice-for-beaches-1676075/ Feed Title: Fodor's Feed URL: http://www.fodors.com/community/united-states/west-virginia/atom.xml Import Time: 1578278618
Hello, my name is Fangfang Zhang. My daughter and I are planning a 5-day trip to Puerto Rico in January, 2020. We’d like to explore Old San Juan, Bioluminescent Bay, Flamenco beach , and doing snorkeling. Can anyone recommend Airb&b (preferred) or hotels which can have easy access to those places and fun activities? Recommendations for food, good restaurant and transportation are also welcome. Feel greatly appreciated for any ideas and suggestions.
Merry Christmas and Happy holidays!!
Looking for a beach area to stay in Puerto Rico that is similar to that of Ka’anapali Beach in Maui. Basically looking to rent a condo or similar with the following:
2. Great, clean beach suitable for swimming.
3. Beachfront dining options within walking distance
This would be a family vacation so I’m not looking for a crazy nightlife (nightclubs etc).

Hi forum! We are lookimg a destination for our family of five in end of Nov for 8-10 days. Our family is me and wife in late-40s and kids 11, 9, and 7. We are laid back and asleep typically by 10 so “night life” is not a thing for us. Our kids will and have spent an entire week lounging by the pool and love it (even with a gorgeous beach 200 feet away!). We love it too because we can keep an eye on them, although we will often go to the beach for a few hours here and there. I like to run and we like to bike or kayak/canoe around, snorkel, scuba dive, etc. but not necessary. We might go sight seeing for 2 days or so if there are cool, adventurous sights. Mostly, we are trying to escape the sudden winter, relax together, eat decent food, and spend time together playing games, and talking.
We have been on western Caribbean cruises, Hawaii, Hilton Head, Kiawah, all over the western mountain states, London, and sans family, India, France, but never directly to any island destination. In this forum, I have seen a number of folks mention locations and all-inclusive resorts in Turks and Caicos, Cozumel, Puerto Vallarta, St. Thomas, Cancun, Cayman, etc. They all seem wonderful and I’m overwhelmed so would welcome any advice! I tagged a few locations but we are pretty flexible as long as the location is safe, warm, and not a really longOriginal: https://www.fodors.com/community/caribbean-islands/family-of-5-upscale-resort-in-nov-dec-1673750/ Feed Title: Fodor's Feed URL: http://www.fodors.com/community/united-states/west-virginia/atom.xml Import Time: 1573318589
